Two perspectives; one vision: events reimagined.

Tobias James Cook

I’ve spent the past decade in London building my career in hospitality - working across leading companies, taking on every role, and learning the industry from the inside out. I was staff, I managed staff, I spoke with them, listened to them and saw first-hand how events really operate - the good and the bad. Through that experience, I saw a niche to bring my own approach: events shaped through partnership, guided by human connection and defined by delivering on the client’s vision.

Over the years I’ve worked across some of the most demanding stages in the industry: from fashion weeks and award ceremonies to store launches, charity galas and weddings.

Conversation has always been my currency. Whether with guests, industry figures, or peers, I’ve built relationships that turn chance encounters into a network with real weight.

I’ve built my career across fashion houses, galleries, and luxury brands - shaping stories, curating aesthetics, and producing experiences that cut through the noise. Along the way, I’ve branded restaurants and hospitality groups, developed 360° exhibition strategies, and delivered high-value PR campaigns from inside some of the world’s leading communications teams. I’ve worked with influencers, driven press strategies that create real cultural impact and used AI as a creative tool - inspiring everything from event décor to the mood of a space.

This mix of branding, culture, and strategy means I see events differently. What I bring to James Cook Events goes far beyond logistics: it’s an instinct for atmosphere, a deep understanding of how culture shapes taste, and an eye for detail that can turn a dinner into an experience and a gathering into a story worth telling.

This isn’t event planning in the traditional sense. It’s curation. It’s strategy. It’s making sure every element - from the menu to the mood - aligns with the bigger picture: moments designed with intention and built to resonate.
